Directions:

Find a current event article that interests
you. It should not be more than 2 weeks
old. Current events can be local, state
wide, or national.
2.
Fill out the report form for your article.
3.
Once you have completed the report form, choose
another article that deals with that current event. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
4.
Now, find a third article that deals with your
current event. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

Directions:

Review all of your report forms. Note again where the information came
from. Locate those sources on the
infographic provided. Do you have a
cross-section of information or does it lean to the left or the right?
2.
Balance your information—repeat the analysis
assignment with other articles if necessary.
3.
Now, review the Current Event Personal Response
choices provided in this packet. Choose
a structure that best suits your new thinking about this topic.
4.
Begin drafting a formal response in Google docs
and share me in (krichard@niskyschools.org). We can work together to formalize your piece.
